CACVT hosts a fun, energetic, enthusiastic environment in which volunteers can utilize their unique skills in a manner that suits their personalities, interests, and growth potential. We are fortunate to work with many wonderful and committed veterinary technicians, associate members, retirees, and students who serve the association in various ways.

Volunteers for the Board of Directors oversee the strategic direction of CACVT. CACVT's goal is to be representative of its membership and strives for diversification within the organization and Board.   The Credentialing Council was formed to independently govern the credentialing programs of CACVT. The Council is solely responsible for all decisions relevant to the core aspects of CACVT’s credentialing programs.

Membership Committee members support and assist the staff with planning, coordinating, and strategic direction of the membership processes.    Events Committee members support and assist staff with planning, coordinating, and strategic direction of the annual conference, member events, and programs.

Event Volunteers attend CACVT events and complete tasks to improve the attendee experience during each event.   Membership Volunteers introduce new members to our mission, vision, and values. Become a resource and connect with new members to build community and connection!

Post Event Volunteers help CACVT staff compile attendee information for reporting purposes after events.

Website Volunteers monitor the CACVT website and social media for any necessary updates or edits.

External programs are volunteer opportunities we receive from our affiliates.  Many involve volunteering your time and skill set to one of our non-profit partners.   Ad Hoc Task Force volunteers are charged with defined, time-limited projects (for example, the Member Veterinary Practice Act Task Force created to make recommendations to the Board of Directors for the 2021 VPA Sunset Review).
